Strong Leadership
Connected Community
Vibrant Future
I have decades of experience in small business, financial consulting, board governance and regional nonprofit leadership. I’ve worked closely with partners to strengthen services, build capacity while supporting the facilities and resources that make our community welcoming and inclusive. I advocate practical, forward-thinking decision-making, responsible budgeting, collaborative leadership and strengthening our local strategic partnerships. I will continue to advocate for smart growth, sustainable infrastructure, programs that enhance quality of life for all residents and make Westlock an attractive community.
What Can You expect? I will …
Represent all residents fairly and with integrity.
Help shape policy, manage municipal priorities, and oversee budgets effectively.
Collaborate openly and professionally—both within council and with the administration.
Follow the ethical, transparent standards set by legislation.
Commit earnest time and energy to governance, dialogue, and improvement.
Call for continuous growth through education and community interaction.

I am running for re-election in Westlock. It has been an honour to serve our community on town council this past term. I have worked hard to create solutions for senior housing, strengthen our healthcare hub, and establish our community foundation to support future generations. I have assisted building regional economic partnerships, supported the airport as a vital asset and served on the special events committee to deliver free family events each year.
I was raised in Westlock and in turn raised my family here. I was a small business person for over 22 years. I am grateful to our generous community and have been an avid volunteer for the past 25 years.

Honouring the Past:
“ Our town was built by people who invested their time, energy, and heart into making this a place where families could thrive. Whether it was local business owners, farmers, volunteers, or past councils, we are living on the foundation they laid. I believe it’s important to recognize that we didn’t get here by accident — we’re standing on the shoulders of community builders who came before us.”
On Today’s Builders:
“ Today, we have a new generation of builders. They’re starting small businesses, coaching sports teams, organizing community events, and creating opportunities for our kids and seniors. Council’s role is to make space for them to succeed — to clear roadblocks and support innovation.”
On the Future:
“ My vision is that we continue to make room for the next wave of builders — the people who will ensure this town is just as strong 20, 30, or 50 years from now. That means investing wisely, planning carefully, and making decisions today that don’t just fix problems but create opportunities. It all begins with an idea.”
Thank you to everyone past and present who supported, inspired and encouraged me. These are the people who showed me that community is connection and that so much is possible together.
WHO DOES WHAT?
Municipalities are subject to the Provincial Municipal Governance Act
WHAT’S AHEAD?
Moving forward we need to focus on building up the strong foundation that has been laid. Make strategic investments in improving our aging infrastructure and getting the most use out of what exists. Continue to be prepared for grant and funding opportunities that align with our strategic plan that address the priorities of residents. Continuously review needs and evaluate what is serving us and what isn’t. Engage in attraction activities for new business and industry that will improve our region and create meaningful jobs that support increased housing development. Strive for excellence in service delivery that is affordable and efficient. Look for innovative ways to retain and support the people, business and amenities we already enjoy. Work seamlessly with our regional partners for better outcomes and advocacy. Continue to support and grow our reputation as a healthcare hub and build more senior supportive housing. Advocate for better funding formulas from the Province to be future ready and address aging infrastructure. Address much needed improvements to the highways that run through our community.
The real GDP of any community is the livability factor and is the degree of engagement, volunteerism and support of associations, clubs, non-profits, and programs. By that measure, Westlock is a terrific place to live. We have generous people and much capacity to support young and old alike. Supporting local and knowing what is available is a key to connecting and thriving. Home is where you feel like you belong. Let’s be our own best cheerleaders.
